Get Ready to Be Inspired: Compass Q2 2025 Results Are Impressive

Real Estate August 15, 2025

The numbers are in, and they’re nothing short of extraordinary. Compass has just closed out its best quarter ever, shattering records and leaving the competition behind. From impressive transaction growth to groundbreaking market share gains, the Q2 2025 results highlight Compass’s continued innovation and leadership in the real estate market.

Transaction Growth That Outpaces the Market

While the U.S. residential real estate market saw a slight 0.9% decline in transactions compared to last year, Compass surged ahead with a 20.9% year-over-year increase. That’s more than twenty times the pace of the broader market — proof that Compass’s approach is connecting buyers and sellers even in changing conditions.

In total, Compass agents closed 73,025 transactions in Q2 alone, with organic transaction growth up 6.3%. This isn’t just growth from acquisitions — it’s growth from serving more clients, more often.

A Growing Network of Top Agents

Behind these results is a strong and expanding network. In Q2, 832 new principal agents joined Compass — the largest quarterly increase in company history — bringing the total to nearly 21,000 principal agents nationwide. Retention remains high at 97.5%, showing that agents who join Compass choose to stay.

For buyers and sellers, a larger, more connected network means greater access to listings, more market insight, and faster matches between the right homes and the right buyers.

Dominating Local Market Share

Nationally, Compass’s market share climbed to 6.09% — the highest in company history. Locally, Compass ranks #1 by total sales volume YTD 2025 in:

  • Harding, NJ

  • South Orange, NJ

  • Madison, NJ

  • Maplewood, NJ

And leadership extends beyond New Jersey — Compass is also #1 in The Hamptons for total sales volume over the past year.

These rankings are based on MLS and industry data and reflect the trust clients place in Compass agents to handle their most important transactions.

Innovation That Powers Results

Compass’s edge is not just about size — it’s about tools that help deliver a better client experience. In Q2, Compass agents reached a record high for platform usage, averaging 24 weekly sessions each, up 37% year-over-year.

Features like Make-Me-Sell, Compass One, and Reverse Prospecting give buyers and sellers new ways to connect, plan, and act with confidence. From discovering off-market opportunities to tracking real-time interest in a property, these innovations help turn possibilities into successful closings.

Looking Ahead

With a strong first half of the year behind and a positive outlook for Q3, Compass is positioned to continue building momentum. Its growing network, market presence, and powerful technology platform are creating opportunities for clients in every kind of market.

If you’re considering a move — whether buying, selling, or just exploring options — the Allison Ziefert Real Estate Group at Compass can provide the insight, strategy, and local expertise you need, backed by the resources of the #1 brokerage in many of our area’s most desirable towns.
